A LIFE of bliss is assured for one new Herefordshire bride. Because last Saturday at Byford church, Kate Alcock, a former Cathedral School student and now a familiar face on TV in a range of antique shows, including Flog It, Bargain Hunt and 20th Century Roadshow, married Jonathan Bliss.

The couple met when Kate, the daughter of Hereford surveyor Lyndon Alcock and herself a fellow of the Royal Gemological Society, worked at Brightwells where Jonathan is a senior partner.

The wedding proved something of an "antiques roadshow" as two of Kate's TV colleagues joined in the celebrations. Tim Wonnacott from Bargain Hunt and Philip Serrell, with whom Kate works on Flog It and in his Malvern auction house, were on hand to wish the couple well.

Following the honeymoon, Kate and Jonathan will return to the Byford cottage that has been home for the past three years.
