A HEREFORDSHIRE law graduate is a true example of courage and determination over loss and tragedy.
Katie Hughes, of Bishopstone, has been gaining recognition and a reputation in her field in London.
She is the daughter of the late Lorna Hughes, of Bishopstone, who died as the result of an accident last year.
Katie graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Queen Mary, University of London.
Last year, she was awarded the Draper's Company undergraduate prize for academic excellence and this year, she won The Constance Maynard award for a similar achievement. Katie is a former pupil of Weobley High School and Hereford Sixth Form College.
Katie's grandfather is Jimmy James, retired bridge engineer for Hereford and Worcester County Council.
