Hereford Triathlon Club had an excellent turnout of 14 at the annual Black Country Olympic Triathlon, but it was the women who grabbed the silverware.
The first Hereford athlete to finish the Cannock course was Colin Kerfoot who managed the one-mile lake swim, 40-kilometre bike and 10-kilometre run in 2 hrs 19 mins 6 secs. He finished in 25th place overall, followed by team-mates Dave White, 27th (2-19.27), Mark Paviour 28th(2-19.50) and Andy Taylor 34th (2-21.08).
The first Hereford lady was Linda White who gained the third women's spot in 2-29.50. Just 20 seconds behind was team-mate Nicola Goodwin who was the fourth woman and Anna Squires came in two minutes later as the sixth.
