Leominster Civic Trust is pleased to announce its Autumn programme.

All meetings take place on Monday evenings starting at 7.30 and located at the Talbot Hotel in Leominster. Everyone is welcome to attend.

September 12 - a talk by Ken Durnell, chairman of WEST MASA

( West Midlands Amenity Societies Association ). Ken will explain the aims and objectives of the organisation in the first half of the meeting. The second part of the meeting will be given to a discussion about the possibility of studying some historical or architectural aspect of Leominster tentatively entitled

'Treasures of Leominster.

October 10 - Chris Botwright, Chief Principal Local Planning Officer for Hereford Council will talk generally about planning legislation and the particular issues which affect the county most. There will be ample time given to questions from the floor which I am sure will cover the more contentious issues e.g. mitigating the effects of intensive agriculture or siting of further extensive domestic accomodation.

November 14 sees the return of a very popular speaker Peter Holliday. Well known for his extensive and detailed knowledge of our local history, Peter will talk about Leominster's more recent development during the 20th century.
