THE Hereford Times reported (August 4) that a UK firm was selling spray on mud to help owners of 4x4 vehicles who wanted to look as though they had ventured off road - even though they had gone nowhere near the countryside. A 75cl bottle cost £7.95 and buyers were advised it should not be used to hide number plates from speed cameras.
You headlined it: A muddy daft idea!
However, if you were very kind and polite to your local farmer, he may sell you a mini-bale of hay or straw, an old waxed jacket, a pair of green wellies, which you can thrown on to your back seat or into the boot, to make it look as if you were a real country person...
A wet sheepdog and a stick would also come in handy and so would a couple of old fertiliser sacks with some hanks of binder twine. Orange is a nice colour..
