PRIMARY SCHOOL - School governors, the headteacher, staff, pupils and local authority have been working together over a number of months to come up with a clear scheme for improvements to Holme Lacy school.
Proposals include the provision of a main hall, new classrooms and improvements to the existing buildings.
Satisfied that the scheme will meet the educational needs of the school in the 21st century, they will now share the plans with the wider community and would appreciate views on the draft proposals. The community is invited to inspect the plans and a model, which will be displayed in Holme Lacy Village Hall on Tuesday from 9.30am until 6pm. A presentation will be made to Holme Lacy Parish Council at the annual parish meeting at Holme Lacy Village Hall onTuesday at 7pm.
In their invitation, governors say they believe that the project represents an “exciting opportunity to help secure the future of the school as a cornerstone of community life”.
