VILLAGE FETE - The fete on Saturday, from 2pm, has a decidedly western theme to it this year. As well as a cowboys and Indians-style fancy dress competition which is open to all ages, there will be tribal drumming lessons by Pedro Brown given in a tepee. The children’s competitions are open to all under 16, and are for the best totem pole under three feet, best dream catcher, best feather headdress and best animal made from fruit or vegetables.
Teas will be available in the hall, and there will be lots of stalls and games, plus the annual duck race.
Teams are needed for the tug-of-war: contact Jeremy Helme on 01981 540854 to register. Proceeds are in aid of Llanwarne Village Hall, a registered charity.
