MONEY RAISED - The sale in aid of St Mary’s Church funds, held in Kington Community Shop, raised £867.93.
Following the harvest festival services held in St Mary’s, £166.85 was sent to Water Aid.
SHEEPDOG TRIALS - Graham Powell and his dog Gwen gained second place in the International Sheepdog Trials in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Graham was only three points behind winner Michael Gallagher.
CRAFT AND FOOD FAIR - A craft and food fair will be held in the village hall on November 27, 10am to noon, organised by Friends of Gladestry School. For further information, call Hattie Budd on 01544 370642.
BUS - The bus service has been restarted by Veolia. It will pick up in the village on Tuesdays 10.30am, returning from Kington at 1.50pm.
REMEMBRANCE - Gladestry’s service of remembrance will take place at the memorial cross in the churchyard on Sunday at 10.45am. The act of remembrance will be led by retired colonel Peter Mayes.
