FLICKS IN THE STICKS - The film Gone To Earth (certificate PG) starring Jennifer Jones and David Farrar will be shown at Lingen Village Hall tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm. This 1950 film is based on a novel by Shropshire novelist Mary Webb and was filmed in Much Wenlock. Admission is £3.50 adults and £2 for under-16s. OPERA IN LINGEN - Glyndebourne Festival Opera Films present Hansel and Gretel by Humperdinck at Lingen Village Hall on Sunday from 6.30pm.
Tickets are £5 which will include a glass of complimentary wine and can be purchased by calling 01568 770723.
With the new large screen and new ‘round the room’ speakers this promises to be worth attending.
DANCING IN THE STICKS - Tuesday evening is dance evening at Lingen Village Hall this Tuesday and January 25, February 8 and 15. From 6.45pm to 7.45pm, Amanda will be taking Latin classes with moves such as salsa, meringe, cha-cha and Argentine tango.
Then from 8pm-9pm Mandy will take zumba fitness classes. All sessions are £4 each and can be booked by calling Lynden Rees-Roberts on 267418.
