SOCIAL AND SPORTS CLUB - Following the recent well-attended extraordinary general meeting, Credenhill Social and Sports Club now has a newly constituted management committee and has appointed a new steward to run the club with emphasis on becoming a more central part of the community. It is hoped to stage future entertainment and sporting events at his community owned, non-profit making venue. It now has football teams, darts teams, pool, skittles, bingo, a regular Monday evening general knowledge quiz and a variety of evening entertainment planned. The skittle alley is available for parties and celebrations. The committee is offering this valuable amenity to the local community, who are being encouraged to get involved. For those that don’t drink, a variety of soft drinks as well as tea and coffee are also available. The committee is still looking for ideas for events to take place over April’s royal wedding bank holiday. Any ideas from the community will be welcome, with a particular emphasis on charity events.
