LIKE most people approaching their 40th birthday, Michelle Joinson wanted to do something a little different to welcome in her fifth decade.
But few are as adventurous as the Whitecross woman who has agreed to jump out of a plane for charity as part of her celebrations.
“My 40th birthday is approaching and I wanted to do something to start my 40s off,” said Michelle, who works for refrigeration equipment firm Arctic Circle at Rotherwas.
She will collect money for the Hereford-based Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hairpieces to children who have suffered hair loss through cancer treatment or alopecia.
The jump takes place in Cirencester on Saturday. Anyone wishing to sponsor her can send a cheque to the trust at 28 Castle Street, Hereford, HR1 2NW.
