BRIGHT SPACE GRANT - Canon Pyon Primary school has been successful in receiving a grant of £2,400 from Bright Space to enable it to refurbish the area outside class two and the play area for class one. Richard Fishbourne will be in school each week until the end of May and with the children’s help started building raised vegetable beds.
Pupils have also made willow hurdles for screening the compost bins and raised beds using sustainable materials and learning transferrable skills. Class one has been working with Richard, cleaning bicycle wheels and weaving colourful strips through them in order to create a canopy-type structure for the early years’ play area.
