FOLKWORKSHOPS CEILIDH - A group of people interested in folk music have joined together under the title FolkWorkshops and have a singing group called Black Hill Folk. They intend to promote live folk music performances in South West Herefordshire. To this end they are holding a fund-raising Ceilidh at Escleyside Hall, Michaelchurch, on Saturday at 7.30pm. FLICKS IN STICKS - At the Escleyside Hall on April 20 see Made in Dagenham (15). Tickets on the door are £4, children £2.50. Doors open at 7.30pm, lights down 8pm. Licensed bar. For details, call 01981 510696.
WHIST - Escley Sports Federation is holding a whist drive at the sports pavilion on April 5 at 7.45pm. Admission is £2 and there will be a draw. Refreshments available.
PUBLIC MEETING - As part of the parish plan exercise there will be a public meeting at Escleyside Hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm, when two representatives of Herefordshire Council will discuss planning and housing issues in the area. Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome.
