SCIENCE - Primary school pupils enjoyed national science and engineering week when normal science lessons were replaced by a range of tasks and challenges set to test the ingenuity of the children, including bridges made of paper, boats from aluminium foil, building the tallest tower from straws and firing a balloon rocket along a piece of string. They also discovered how to use chromatography to separate the colours in felt tip pens.
OPEN EVENING - Canon Pyon CE Primary School is holding an informal open evening on Wednesday between 7pm and 8pm for parents, prospective parents, members of the community and friends to meet the governing body and school staff, and look around its excellent facilities.
