MESSY CHURCH - Sticking and painting, games and food don’t sound much like church? But a new user-friendly session of church as you've never seen it before takes place once a month at New Radnor Village Hall. The event is organised by Rev Mark Beaton, priest in charge of New Radnor, Colva, Gladestry, Llanfihangel Nant Melan and Evancoyd. Aimed at children and parents ther will be craftwork, singing, games and short story time, all followed by a whacking great tea party, ensuring an afternoon full of learning with fun. Children, accompanied by at least one parent, are very welcome. There is no charge but donations are gratefully received towards costs. A recent session of Messy Church celebrated Easter with an Easter story, making finger puppets, painting a banner, painting eggs, singing and unchurch like games, like 'chicken pie'; 26 children and 24 adults made sure the first Messy Church session went with a swing. The next one will be on May 28, 4pm to 6pm, at New Radnor Village Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Further details are available from Rev Mark and Mrs Kit Beaton on 01544 350342.
