CELEBRATION - To commemorate the royal wedding a celebration of marriage was held at St Mary’s Church. About 60 people gathered for a short service led by Rev Mark Beaton when couples were able to renew their vows. Following the service tea was served and everyone admired the exhibition of wedding memorabilia, including 100-yearold wedding dresses. For the more energetic, a treasure hunt was held in the church’s quiet garden. There was no charge for the tea but donations amounting to £60 were received for a charity nominated by the royal couple.
