MONMOUTH BIG BAND - The Monmouth Big Band are playing in the village hall on June 11, at 7.30pm. The talented 20 piece swing band of local jazz musicians sold out completely the last two times they were in Goodrich. Enjoy the classic tunes of Miller, Basie, Ellington, Kenton as well as modern day composers. SECRET GARDENS - On June 12, the secret gardens of Goodrich are open for a rare viewing from 2pm to 6pm. Nine gardens are open and it only happens once every few years. Visit the walled garden at the vicarage or a cottage garden in a quarry. See something different in each place from plants to landscapes to views in the hidden gems of Goodrich. £3 entry fee, children free if accompanied by an adult. Pay at the first garden you visit. There will be a map of the gardens on display in Jolly’s window.
