PRIMARY SCHOOL EVENTS - An eventful week in school last week with KS2 pupils making bread as part of preparations for their Harvest festival. This also linked in with their focus on “Instruction writing” in Literacy.
On Friday, year 5 pupils attended the “world premier” of their film at the Odeon cinema, Hereford.
The children, accompanied by their class teacher, Mrs Eynon, and teaching assistant, Kate Nott, dressed up for the occasion and travelled in style, hiring a stretch-limousine, just like “A” list celebrities.
At the cinema launch, pupils walked on the official “red carpet” before joining other schools inside for a private viewing – at the end of which they received an award for their efforts.
The Eco committee held an assembly about sustainable travel and carried out a hands-up survey on how everyone travelled to and from school. They plan to update their current travel plan with a view to encouraging more families to travel to school in a more sustainable way.
