AURORA Dadacay celebrated her birthday with partner Chris Powis last Friday by visiting the Courtyard and a nostalgic performance of pure jazz from the Laurie Holloway Trio and successful singer/songwriter and comedian Kenny Lynch OBE.
Stunning solo’s by Dave Olney on bass and Harold Fisher on drums together with jazz pieces and medleys on the piano by Laurie of hits from the Beatles, West Side Story and Burt Bacharach set the jazz scene.
With evocative songs from Kenny, interspersed with his inimitable humour, a real cabaret atmosphere was created for the enthusiastic audience.
