HOG ROAST AND CIDER FESTIVAL THIS SATURDAY - In aid of St. Bridget's Church Skenfrith at the field next to the Bell Inn from 12.30pm to 5pm.With live music from Ben Huws and Maypole dancing the event promises to be a fun day for all the family. Adults £3, children £1 and five's and under free. To include ciders from Ty Gwyn, Raglan Cider Mills, Three Saints Cider and Perry, Dave Matthews, and ales from the Untapped Brewing Company.
Family competitions will include a tombola, face painting, raffle draw, lucky dip, cider and perry pear identification.
PRODUCE MARKET THIS SATURDAY - This highly successful produce market is held every second Saturday each month at Skenfrith village hall from 10am to 1pm: October 8; November 12; December 10.

'DARK SKIES WALES' PLANETARIUM EVENING - At Skenfrith Village Hall on Friday October 21 at 7.30pm. Coinciding with the orionids meteor shower the 'Dark Skies of Wales' team of experts sponsored by industry and the Welsh Assembly are bringing their mobile planetarium to take us out into the night skies and demonstrate the mythology and legends of the constellations.
