LIVE MUSIC - Skenfrith Village Hall concludes its entertainment events for 2011 with a live performance from the very talented Katus, on Saturday, at 7.30pm. Katus is an international performer who delights in experimenting, innovating and enjoying the variety of sounds that can be produced by an instrument or her voice. She is multi-lingual, many talented singer songwriter who plays a range of instruments, delivering an exciting range of styles and sounds in her concert routine.
The event is kindly sponsored by the night out scheme, meaning tickets are just £5 each (£3 children) available from 01600 750255, 01600 750682 or on the night. A fully licenced bar is available from 7pm.
TALK - At Hilston Park near Skenfrith Grant Muter, the listing officer for Cadw the Welsh Historical Monuments agency 30 years ago, will be presenting a talk on December 3 at 7pm on historic houses in the area and giving some fascinating glimpses of farming families. Tickets are £6 to include mulled wine and Christmas Fayre. All proceeds to fundraising for St Bridget's Church. Tickets can only be booked in advance from Rev Jean Prosser, Yew Tree Farm, Llangatock Lingoed, NP7 8NS.
