TALK AND SLIDES - In the hall on Saturday at 8pm, Guy Homan, a member of the British Army team who climbed the West Ridge of Everest in 2006 tells his fascinating story (accompanied by slides) of this difficult climb. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 to include a ploughman’s supper. All proceeds go to CLIC Sargent, the charity for children affected by cancer. Bar applied for.
