FRIDAY EVENTS - At its recent committee meeting Clehonger Village Hall agreed a lively programme of Friday events for March in addition to its regular activities. On March 9, there will be a quiz evening, followed by bingo on March 16. On March 30, a ceilidh has been organised introducing Cradle to Grave. All events begin at 7.30pm. Enquiries to Carole Protherough on 01981 251012.
TUESDAY CLUB - The club, set up last autumn, continues to thrive. The monthly book club promotes wide ranging discussion and reminiscences. This month’s choice is Bad Blood by Lorna Sage about childhood in the 1950s. On January 14, Rural Media showed short films Same but Different on the lives of people from minority groups living in Herefordshire. The monthly cooking session is much enjoyed but may trigger a branch of a slimming club. On Tuesdaymembers get a craft session off the ground, learning how to crochet. Meetings are very informal and friendly and new members are welcome on Tuesdays at 3.30pm in the village hall. The club is open to suggestions for new activities.
