Much Cowarne WI - The WI will meet in Stoke Lacy Village Hall promptly at 7.30pm, April 13, to hear Richard Jordan give a talk entitled Get your Kicks on Route 66. The competition will be a six-line travel poem.
FUN RIDE - The Much Cowarne fun ride will start at Panks Bridge Farm from 10am Saturday. The ride will follow 10 miles of farmland and green lanes with scenic views and minimal roadwork. Adults £15, under- 16s £10 (under-12s to be accompanied please) and cyclists or walkers just £5.
Refreshments available. Last horse 1pm. All proceeds to Much Cowarne Church and Burley Gate Village Hall funds. For details, call 07970 156620 or 01432 820282.
PICNIC - At Burley Gate CE Primary School tomorrow (Good Friday), there will be a picnic from 12.30pm on the playing field (bring your own food), followed by a special outdoor service from 1.30pm.
COFFEE - The art group will be holding a coffee morning in Stoke Lacy Church from 10am to noon on April 14. Everyone is welcome to call in for a coffee, a cake and a chat and to inspect the new library shelves.
SCHOOL SUCCESS - Burley Gate School has enjoyed a term of sporting success this spring. The children have taken part in a range of competitions in the local Bromyard area and are proud winners of six trophies incluing netball, tag rugby and athletics.
