RABBIT FUNDS RAISED - Coffee morning at Preston on Wye Hall on Easter Saturday, in aid of George the rabbit (year three's pet at Madley School) raised £102 to help with the vet's bill following his operation.
APPLICATION - Well done to Caroline Hodgson and Preston on Wye Hall Committee for a successful application to Herefordshire Council to get funding for new IT equipment for the village hall and COWPATS!
CELEBRATION TEA - Calling all committee members/helpers of Preston-on-Wye village hall (right from the beginning in the 1950s).
You are invited to a celebration tea and catch-up at Preston on Wye village hall on April 28 at 5pm. We would welcome any old photos, memorabilia and memories that you may have about our hall right from its humble beginning in Doris’ late husband Watt Edwards’ workshop, to what we are lucky enough to have and enjoy today. JUBILEE LUNCH - A jubilee lunch on June 3 at Preston on Wye village hall is being arranged. Two courses for £10. Seating will be limited so please book early with Tracey or Dilys on 01981 500401. Following on from the Jubilee lunch, everyone is invited to spend the afternoon/evening at POW Hall to enjoy the Jubilee celebrations. The bar will be open and later on, back by popular demand, Chris the Guitar Man will be entertaining us into the evening. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the day with us!
CARTRIDGE RECYCLING - There is a recycling collection point for printer laser and inkjet cartridges and mobile phones at Preston village hall. Please make sure they are in suitable protective packaging such as a plastic bag before placing in the box which is situated behind the stage in the hall. Alternatively, you are welcome to leave them in the front porch at Well Cottage. These will then be sent off to The Dog’s Trust who will use the proceeds to help care for and rehome abandoned dogs.
VILLAGE FETE - Preston on Wye’s village fete and classic vehicle show will be on July 7.
Hereford Hospital Radio will again be in attendance along with all the usual stalls, games and catering. This is not an event to be missed! Rosie and Monty Goat will be there too!
EXERCISE CLASSES - Boxercise/tabata exercise classes at Preston on Wye village hall every Tuesday from 6-7pm - £3 per session.
No need to book.
