KINGTON completed their first win of the season in the KBS Hockey League with a convincing 10-1 win over home team Builth/Llandrindod Wells.
Left-wing Catherine Jones profited from some good work by Jenny Layton and Sarah Betterton to open the scoring but the home side quickly drew level.
Kington then had to survive a spell of heavy pressure before Karen Stephens restored their lead.
Stephens went on to score three more and Jones completed a hat-trick with the other Kington goals coming from Betterton, player-of-the-match Sophie Joss and a Bev Hyde penalty flick.
