DRAGON FIRE CLUB - The Radnor Valley Band held a Bavarian evening in New Radnor Community Centre recently to raise money for the Dragon Fire after-school and holiday club. The event raised £743.15. During the evening the band, led by musical director Dave Wilson, played a selection of Bavarian music while Bavarian food was served. There was also a chance for members of the audience to have a go at playing the tuned cow bells. The money was presented to Emma Bradford, vice-chairman of the Dragon Fire Club by band secretary Carolyn Price and chairman Michael Capstick. Emma thanked the band for helping them raise so much money and also thanked Marches Architectural Hardware of Llandrindod and S B Plumbing and Heating of New Radnor who each kindly sponsored the club to the tune of £100. The Dragon Fire Club is held in the Old School, New Radnor, term time from 3.20pm until 5.20pm and in the easter and summer holidays from 9am to 5.20pm.
