FARMERS’ MARKET - On Saturday, 10am - noon in the parish hall. In April two new food producers – Pudge’s Lamb from Woolhope and homemade bread and soup from Moors Meals at Sollers Hope – were there.
Alongside the newcomers, regular stalls will be offering seasonal vegetables, pork, beef, cheeses, homemade cakes and preserves, as well as Fairtrade crafts and groceries.
Entry is free and Fairtrade refreshments will be available.
JUBILEE - Preparations are well under way for a bumper Bosbury bank holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on June 3, 4 and 5, involving the whole community.
Highlights will be a thanksgiving service, a big bring-and-share lunch with live screening of the Diamond Jubilee Thames River Pageant at the parish hall on Sunday, a pig roast at the parish hall and lighting a beacon and fireworks at the Bell Inn on Monday, and on Tuesday a village fete with games and amusements, including six-aside fun cricket matches, all on Bosbury school field followed by a barbecue at The Bell in the evening.
