BOWLING - Eardisland Bowling Club recorded its first win of the season, defeating a plucky Hereford side 62 shots to 44. The match went ahead due to the great efforts of greenkeeper Tony Stokes, despite several hours of rain throughout the day, with the green playing remarkably well. The winning rinks were shared two each, with Jonathan Farndon skipping the best rink of Cheryl Morgan, John Hill and Dave Bray 25-7, whilst Phil Sharp was also in good form, assisted by Wendy Powell, Phil Lynne and Phil Milchard, winning 17-7.
