JUBILEE - On June 3, a commemorative tree will be planted by the WI and a time capsule buried in the parish hall grounds. This will take place at the end of the big bring-andshare lunch, which starts at noon. Everyone is welcome, and there is no charge. For details, call Rosie Roberts on 07734 866108.
There will also be a live screening of the Thames river pageant on the parish hall’s big screen. Tickets are now on sale, from parish hall committee members, for the jubilee pig roast, from 6pm on June 4. The cost is £5 each, £3 for under-12s, and includes the first pork roll. There will be live music and a bar.
The evening rounds off at the Bell Inn at 9.30pm with lighting the beacon and fireworks.
To take part in the fun cricket matches at the village fete on June 5, or for more information, call Suzanne Davies on 07814 707311.
