BEAVERS - There was a double celebration for Bosbury 1st Beavers, holding a jubilee party and investiture ceremony on the same evening. The group, which started in April, invited assistant district commissioner Maureen Puffet to preside over the ceremony which saw all 16 children and five leaders make their Scout promise before family and friends. Each child and leader received their specially designed group neckerchief. The group meets on Mondays from 6pm-7pm in Bosbury Parish Hall.
JUBILEE - In spite of the weather, Bosbury enjoyed a wonderful Diamond Jubilee weekend, including the well-attended big lunch and pig roast and the Bell’s spectacular firework display. Even though the fete was relocated to the parish hall, lots of families had great fun.
WI - Tonight (Thursday). Bosbury WI meets at 7.30pm in Bosbury Parish Hall. Guest speaker Christopher Graham will talk about butchery, meat cuts and cooking. Visitors are very welcome.
