DIAMOND JUBILEE - Wellington Primary School celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by hosting a tea party. With red, white and blue being worn by all, families and villagers congregated in the school hall to join the children in a medley of songs and several rousing performances of God Save The Queen. Tea was then served, along with several hundred fairy cakes, while everyone listened to tunes provided by, appropriately, Queen Elizabeth Humanities College’s steel band. The children were all presented with engraved medals by PTA chairman Leslie James.
