CHARITY is always a gamble when the chips are down, but the sort of strike every high roller dreams about could make big money for a county cause.

With a casino night on the cards, the Leominster Women in Business Group needed a top draw. What they've got is a one-off lucky seven shot with a difference - and well against the odds.

Anyone game enough to give it a throw will have to toss seven dice at once, and see all seven land six up. Do that and they win a brand new Peugeot 207.

The Group hopes the one shot game will see plenty of punters at the Bengry Motors showroom on Saturday, October 28. Money raised will go to the Megan Baker House children's day centre.

Organiser Dawn McBarnet says the six-up strike is a better bet than winning the lottery - or so she's told. But with 200 tickets for sale odds are it might just happen.

Last year the Group raised £7,500 for the Martha Trust from several events including a bangers n' mash auction. This year's stake and chips has attracted sponsorship from some of the town's biggest businesses.

"We're looking at topping last year's total, and winning the car could make it quite a night," said Dawn.
