TENBURY continued their winning streak in Division 1 of the Worcestershire Ladies League but were given their toughest battle so far before seeing off Bournville 2nd 3-2 at Leominster's Bridge Street Sports Centre.
The home side pressed strongly in the early stages and took the lead when Vicky Riley converted a penalty corner.
Riley scored again before the interval when she rounded off a fine move involving several Tenbury players.
Bournville quickly pulled a goal back but Amie Ewan and Alice Wood set up the chance for skipper Gemma Toms to give Tenbury a 3-1 half-time advantage.
Bournville pulled one goal back after the break but with Rachel Croxton marshalling the Tenbury defence to good effect, the home side held on to the points.
Goalscorers Riley and Toms were named joint players of the match.
