A PUB has celebrated a special occasion by lowering the price of a pint to what it cost in 1980.
The Green Dragon, in Bishop's Frome, has marked the 25th anniversary of the publication of the Good Pub Guide by introducing the new prices for one night only on pints of Carling, Theakston Bitter and Westons Cider.
Before the night, pub owner Simon Durrent, said: "Unsurprisingly, all of our customers have been really keen. We are going to be crammed!"
It is a double celebration for Simon as The Green Dragon was included in The Good Beer Guide for the first time - only a year after he took control of the pub.
The guide recognises the quality of beers in pubs and thanks to The Dragon's fine real ale, it has been entered on the list.
"We'd like to say thank you to our customers who have supported us over the year and hope this night shows we appreciate their loyalty," added Simon.
