IT WAS a case of hair today gone tomorrow for a teenager raising money for charity.

Daniel Rover-Parkes took the brave step of shaving off his long red locks at Hereford's Homebase store to help St Michael's Hospice.

Daniel is 17 and it had taken him 18 months to grow his hair to the length that it reached when it was shaved off. He may look a lot smarter now but one of his colleagues, Kerry Tompson, said of the shaving itself "it was something spectacular to see!"
