TRACTOR RUN - A very successful tractor run in aid of the Joshua Freeman Fund took place recently in Llanwarne. Funds raised will help eight year old Joshua travel to America for an operation to allow him to walk.
The run, consisting of 49 vintage tractors along with other tractors, travelled along a route of 16 miles through beautiful countryside in brilliant sunshine, and ended at Llanwarne Court for a ploughmans lunch, raffle and auction. Phil James, who was unable to take part in the run, let his tractor be used for ‘guess the weight’, which was won by Tim Hughes, who was spot on. The bonus ball was won by Ian DeHaviland.
The total raised on the day was £1,250, however with the many donations gratefully received £3,512.89 was achieved. Thanks go to all the helpers and who contributed in any way.
