YOUNGSTERS from a Herefordshire school have enjoyed the taste of good home cooking using produce grown in their own backyard.
Pupils at Eardisley Church of England Primary school tucked into a harvest lunch that included soup made from ingredients that included vegetables grown in their organic garden.
The harvest celebrations included seasonal readings with volunteers from the local community coming into the school.
As well as enjoying the food, children also held an auction of produce, with the money raised going to the Barnados charity.
Eardisley school is holding an open day on Thursday, November 2, when prospective parents will have the chance to see pupils at work and play.
