SANDBAGS - Any resident who needs sandbags in an emergency should speak to Fred Davies at 5 Wallflower Row who stores the parish’s supply.
PARISH COUNCIL - At the July meeting the council discussed the proposal to extend the double yellow lines opposite the school, after consideration of representations made by local residents the parish council decided to pursue single yellow lines with restrictions in place at peak times. Agreement was given to extend the Ross -on-Wye bus service trial for a further six months, which would help to give a clear picture of passenger numbers throughout the winter. A number of councillors had recently attended Neighbourhood Planning training and were keen to find out whether the process would bring any real benefits to the community. A large number of highway problems were reported to the clerk to raise with Amey Herefordshire. Residents were reminded that they could also report problems on 01432 261800.
WALKING FOR HEALTH – The next walk in this new initiative to help promote walking as a healthy lifestyle will take place on August 20 at 7.30pm at Mordiford School.
