FETE - Two of the most popular residents of the village of Huntington, near Kington , Werner and Natasha Guttmann, returned early from their diamond wedding celebrations in France, so they could attend the 58th Huntington fete. The Guttmans, who have had a house in Huntington for 31 years, said: “Nothing could stop us from coming to the fete as we have done every year since 1971.” A special presentation was made to them to mark the occasion. This year’s fete was the first to be held at Huntington Court by permission of new owners William and Fiona Shone. The sun shone as hundreds of people enjoyed traditional activities, stalls and music from Presteigne community band Bandamani’. A record £3,500 was raised, which will be shared between the two churches of Huntington, the village hall and Kington charities.
