WOW what a great few days it's been for Great Britain in the Olympics.
Yet another gold medal was won this morning, this time by Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins in the doubles sculls rowing, which has taken the nation's gold medal count to six.
Great Britain has now won 18 medals altogether and have jumped to fourth in the medals table, meaning that they are well on course to get the 48-medal target that was set at the start of the Games, especially with the athletics now up and running.
I was at a wedding on Saturday and then became ill on Sunday, which lasted into Tuesday, so it's only really been the past few days that that I have managed to really get into the Olympic spirit.
And you know what? I'm loving it!
There is nothing better to get the country united than seeing sportsmen and women doing well and for them to do it on home soil is definitely an added bonus.
I'm going to see Great Britain against South Korea tomorrow night in Cardiff in the quarter-finals of the mens' football and I'm starting to get the buzz now.
To be honest, I was just happy that I was successful in getting tickets in the first place, but the fact that it is Great Britain playing makes it even sweeter.
I'm sure that the atmosphere in and around the ground will be electric and will definitely be something to look back on in years to come.
As a side not, I would like to add that I hope that something can be done to save Hereford Race Course and it does not close down.
It is part of the city's heritage and will be a real shame if no more meetings, let alone other events, are held there beyond the end of the year.
