COFFEE AND MARKET - This Saturday there will be two events in Stoke Lacy Church, both running from 10am to noon. A coffee morning will be hosted by the Stoke Lacy Energy Group, as will the regular produce market featuring a wide range of fresh local produce. Everyone is welcome to attend.
PARISH COUNCIL - Stoke Lacy Parish Council will meet in the village hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday. All parishioners are welcome to attend. Anyone with matters they would like to put forward is asked to contact the parish clerk, Alma Westwood, on 01885 490286.
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE - Much Cowarne WI will meet at Stoke Lacy village hall at 7.30pm on September 14. Philip Carr will be giving a talk entitled Tales from the Potting Shed, and the competition will be for the oldest garden tool. New members are always welcome.
FRIENDSHIP CLUB - The Friendship Club will meet in the village hall at 10.30am on September 18 and members will be joined by an Age Concern information officer. For many members this could be a very useful meeting. Once again there will be a WRVS meal available from noon. Anyone wishing to book a meal is asked to call the caterers on 01885 488654 no later than the previous Thursday. Similarly, if anyone books and then finds they can’t attend, they are asked to be sure to cancel by phoning the same number no later than the Monday before.
This is especially important in the case of holidays or hospitalisations.
