BOWLS - Eardisland Bowling Club enjoyed a comfortable victory when Bodenham visited the recreation ground on Saturday afternoon, winning by 79 shots to 57. Once again Tony Stokes skipped the best rink of Robin Adams, John Hill and Mike Fenn to 14 shot win, with Dave Bray also successful by ten shots.
Captain, Gill Williams, played a thrilling match to earn a well deserved draw, scoring a three on the final end.
BOWLING CLUB CLOSING DAY AND BBQ - The club will bring the curtain down on another season on Sunday at 2pm when traditionally everyone is invited to join members for a delicious barbecue. You will also have the chance to learn a little more about the game and put down a few woods if you wish.
BOWLING CLUB BUILDING WORK - It is expected that the building work at the bowling club will start on Monday, September 24, with the demolition of the existing changing rooms, toilets and outbuildings. It is anticipated that the new building will be erected within five weeks when internal work will commence.
PACT - Kington Rural Local Police team will be holding their monthly PACT surgery at Eardisland village shop on Thursday from 3- 4pm.
PARISH COUNCIL - the next parish council meeting is on Thursday at 7.30 in the village hall.
IN BLOOM - The result of this year’s entry to the In Bloom competition will be announced in the White Swan at 7:30pm tomorrow (Friday). Everyone welcome.
