FETE - The 58th Huntington Fete, held at Huntington Court, was the first one to be held without 97-year-old Dorothy Jack presiding, though it was heartwarming to see her arrive for a visit with members of her family. The new owners of The Court, Mr and Mrs William Shone, welcomed visitors and under the able chairmanship of Peter Kelly and his committee, the fete was a success, raising a record £3,519 to be split between the two churches of Huntington, the village hall and many Kington charities.

HUNTINGTON CHASE - The Fifth Annual Huntington Chase – Man v Horse will take place on Saturday, October 13. This endurance test is expected to attract at least 70 people this year to see who can endure a 10km trek from Huntington, over the heights of Hergest Ridge, through Gladestry, with the final mountainous hill back to the Swan Inn as the final challenge. Drinks and refreshments, prepared by friends of Huntington, will mean a good party at the end of the morning. Participants should apply to Peter Kelly on 01544 370266 or peterbkelly642@ hotmail.com.
