COFFEE - There is an open invitation to the historic Friends Meeting House on October 27 when Quakers from around the county hold their annual coffee morning and sale.
From 10.30am there will be refreshments, books, cakes and bric-a-brac.
CHURCH - From November 2-9 the charity shop in Kington High Street will be open for the sale of a wide variety of goods in aid of St Mary’s Church. On November 14 a joint working party will be in action to tidy up the churchyard and to polish brasses in preparation for Christmas festivities. A session of wreath making, under the guidance of Edna Hughes, will commence at 10.30am on November 28. Please book wth Edna on 01544 340268, so that she has materials. On November 30 the Christmas market will take place in the church in the evening.
FLICKS IN THE STICKS - Watch Wuthering Heights (15) on Thursday, October 25, in Almeley Village Hall at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm, cabaret seating and bar available.
