A FRUIT and vegetable stall in Hereford Butter Market will close for good this weekend due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Elgar Produce, based in the Butter Market in High Town, said it was gutted with the decision and apologised to customers.

It said it had tried to make things work during the coronavirus pandemic, but "things just haven't returned to normal".

OTHER NEWS:

A statement from the stall said: "It comes with a heavy heart to announce that Saturday will be our last day trading.

"We will be doing deliveries tomorrow as normal for the last time as well, so drop us a message as normal if you need anything.

"We’ve worked endlessly hard, especially during the pandemic, operating deliveries for everyone in the lockdowns. All the outside markets we have done too.

"But sadly, things have changed, and things just haven’t returned to normal and we have to do what’s best for us.

"We are absolutely gutted we have had to make this decision, we can only apologise.

"We want to thank you so very much for everyone who has shown the continuous support to us during our time. You’ve all been amazing to us."
