A HUGE stage has been set up in Hereford as Christmas entertainment gets underway for shoppers, with live music and walkabout performers in the city this weekend.

Hereford Business Improvement District (BID) said it was thrilled to share its finalised entertainments calendar, detailing all the fun, festive plans taking place for the city centre this December.

Under its consumer brand, Hereford City Life, Hereford BID is hosting entertainment in a bid to bring shoppers into the city.

Featuring seven musical acts and a selection of incredible family-friendly street performers including iGlobot, Living Christmas Trees and Frost Fairy, Hereford BID said it was a Christmas spectacular not to be missed.

To centralise the activities, the main stage was set up in High Town on December 15 to host live music from bands such as MammaFunk and the Washboard Resonators, plus the Got2Sing choir, to name a few.

Other acts will be placed at key locations around the city to spread the festive entertainment around the city centre, with the first evening of entertainment on Wednesday, December 15.

  • 6.30pm-7.30pm Golden Gift Card Giveaway

Hereford BID has also launched the Golden Gift Card Giveaway.

The fun treasure hunt-style giveaway will provide clues for people to follow to lead them to the ‘Golden Gift Card’.

The first to find the Golden Gift Card must bring it to the BID team to be exchanged for a real Hereford Gift Card loaded with up to £250.

The first clue will be announced on Hereford City Life’s Facebook and Instagram Stories at the start time, with more clues added if the card isn’t found.
