A NEW Turkish restaurant is set to open in Hereford, taking over the building formerly home to Pizza Express.
The Broad Street restaurant, which used the be Hereford's post office, was left empty in 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Restaurants shut their doors in March as lockdown started, with Pizza Express never reopened its Hereford site.
But now, estate agents Sunderlands has revealed a new restaurant is taking over the empty unit.

La’De Kitchen, which specialises in Turkish cuisine, currently has a number of restaurants in the south, but will soon add Hereford to that list.
James Dillon, commercial surveyor at Sunderlands, based in St Peters Square nearby, said it was great news for Hereford.
"I think they've got some pretty big plans, but at the moment they've only just got the keys," Mr Dillon said.

"I know they're going to try and make the kitchen a little bit bigger, I think, and try and incorporate a bar in there somewhere, but it's early days yet. They haven't done planning yet.
"They will be refitting and refurbishing the whole unit, which is great, but they've taken it on today and are very keen to get going."
