AN EMPLOYEE of a Herefordshire health provider has been put forward for an award for his service to the community.
Soy Jacob, who works as a ward host for Sodexho at Nuffield Health Hospital in Venns Lane, Hereford, has been nominated for a British Citizen Award.
The awards celebrate individuals doing great things for the public, often behind the scenes, or away from the glare of publicity and reward people who make their communities special places to live.

The honours are a benchmark against which individuals will be able to measure their standing in the community; the respect with which they are held by others; and benefit from recognition for their endeavour.
A spokesperson for Nuffield Health Hereford said: "We are so unbelievably proud of our Sodexo Ward host Soy who has been nominated for The British Citizen Award.
"Thank you Soy for all of your hard work and exceptional service, you are a credit to us here at the Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital."
