A POPULAR Hereford pizza shop is closed due to “operational issues”.
Papa Johns, in Commercial Road, has said that it has temporarily closed today, but gave no date for reopening.
The pizza take-out and delivery chain offers classic and speciality pizzas, plus wings, sides and desserts.
It was founded in 1984 when "Papa" John Schnatter installed a pizza oven inside a broom cupboard in the back of his father's tavern, Mick's Lounge, in Jeffersonville, USA.

The chain has reached over 5,500 locations in 49 countries and territories; and is currently the world’s third-largest pizza delivery company.
It has been delivering pizza in the city since opening its Commercial Road shop in 2016, taking over the long-closed Palace Chinese restaurant.
A note in the window of the Hereford takeaway said: "Papa Johns in Hereford is closed temporarily because of operational issues. We look forward to reopening very soon."
